Letter to the family

Hello! I’m Parys, an enthusiastic and reliable 22-year-old from the uk based in London, and I’d love to become your next au pair!

Although I don’t have formal childcare qualifications, I’ve grown up in a large, close-knit family and have plenty of experience caring for younger siblings, nieces, and nephews. From helping with homework and meal times to entertaining and bedtime routines, I’ve gained a lot of hands-on experience in looking after kids of all ages. My family can vouch for my reliability and nurturing nature, and I’m happy to provide references if needed!

Currently, I’m studying law at university, and while I’m passionate about my future career as a solicitor, I know that much of my 20s will be focused on my studies. That’s why I’m excited to take a slightly less-than-a-year break to experience life in a new place. I believe that being an au pair in Australia will give me the perfect chance to explore a beautiful country, immerse myself in a new culture, and make a meaningful contribution to a family’s day-to-day life.

I’m responsible, adaptable, and eager to help with childcare, light household tasks, and anything else you might need. I’m looking forward to forming a positive, supportive relationship with your family while gaining an unforgettable experience abroad.

Thank you for considering me for your au pair position! I can’t wait to hear from you and learn more about your family and how I can assist.

Best wishes,
Parys :)

Experience

I want to become an au pair because I feel that anything family-oriented comes very naturally to me. Growing up in a large, close-knit family, I’ve always been involved in caring for my younger siblings, nieces, and nephews, and I’ve found it to be incredibly rewarding. Spending time with children and helping families just feels like the perfect fit for me, which is why I believe being an au pair would be the best way to spend time working abroad in Australia.

The main reason for my stay is to explore a new country, learn about a different culture, and take a break from my studies to experience life from a new perspective. As I’m studying law at university, I know that my 20s will be focused on my academic and professional journey, so I’m excited to take this opportunity to step outside my comfort zone, live in a new environment, and make meaningful connections.

My goal as an au pair is not only to contribute to your family by supporting your children and helping with daily tasks but also to grow personally. I want to build lasting memories, develop valuable life skills, and gain a deeper understanding of what it’s like to live and work abroad. By doing something I’m naturally good at and passionate about, I hope to make a positive impact on your family while also creating an enriching experience for myself.

Growing up in a large family, I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience looking after younger siblings, nieces, and nephews. This has taught me how to be patient, adaptable, and supportive in various situations. Whether it was helping my little brother get ready for bed, assisting with homework, or simply entertaining the younger ones with games and activities, I’ve always taken on a caregiving role with a lot of love and responsibility.

These experiences have given me a strong understanding of the needs and routines of children, and I’ve learned how to handle both the fun and challenging moments that come with caring for them. I’m comfortable with tasks like preparing meals, organizing playtime, and helping with schoolwork, and I know how important it is to create a positive, nurturing environment.

As an au pair, I can bring this experience and the skills I’ve developed to help care for your children. I’m confident that my background in supporting my younger siblings will help me connect with your family and provide the care and attention your kids need. Plus, I’m always ready to lend a helping hand and ensure your children are happy, safe, and well taken care of.
