My name is Melike, I’m 24 years old and currently studying Economics and Finance in Istanbul. I’m responsible, warm, and open-hearted—someone who values human connection and meaningful contribution.

Growing up as the eldest granddaughter, I often looked after my younger cousins and developed a natural sense of care and leadership. I also have a close connection with older people; their stories and wisdom have always fascinated me. During the pandemic, I helped care for my grandfather during his illness, which taught me compassion and resilience.

I may not have formal caregiving experience, but I’ve always been someone others rely on—especially children and elders. I believe I can bring warmth, balance, and genuine support to your home

Experience

My experience mainly comes from family life. I helped raise younger cousins, and during school breaks or summers, I often stayed with extended family and supported them with childcare. I also helped care for my grandfather when he was ill.

I want to join this program abroad not just to help, but to learn. Living with someone from another culture while offering care is a unique opportunity. It will improve my language skills, grow my empathy, and give me an honest perspective on life abroad. I see this as an exchange of support and understanding.
