Letter to the family

Hi, I'm Chloe! I am a 21 year old student from Jersey, currently studying Journalism at Bournemouth University.

I've visited Australia once before and always dreamed of coming back, the main reason I want to be an au pair in Australia, in particular, is to live abroad and immerse myself in a new culture. I will have just graduated from University and I just want to see the world!!! I plan to au-pair for 3-4 months and then continue my travels.

I think you should host me because I will be a recent graduate, and with the way the world is going right now there are hardly any job prospects and so I will quite literally have nothing else to do apart from looking after your children! I put my all into any job I've ever done and I will work hard. I also like to think I'm a fun and easy to get along with person. I can cook, clean, drive and I'm qualified in first aid.

I am the oldest of 3 girls and so although I've never actually been an au pair before, I feel like the oldest sibling always has to somewhat raise the rest! I babysit three different families when I was in high school, the children were aged between 2 and 14. I also have a 4 year old niece who I regularly look after.

I was a GirlGuiding volunteer for over 4 years, which is where I run sessions with other leaders for girls aged 7-10 every Tuesday for 2 hours. We would do fun activities like arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, etc. Sometimes we would go and visit the fire station and learn about that, other times I would create a dance and teach it to them, it was very varied and very creative. I loved planning activities for the girls to do and helping their confidence and skills grow.
