Because I moved to different countries with various cultures as a child, I have ever since appreciated the beautiful differences in human culture and languages. Therefore, I intend on starting to learn new languages in my gap year, such as Mandarin or Spanish. Meeting new people from a different background is incredibly interesting, which has made me a very openminded and empathetic person. By moving around as a child, I learned to adapt to new environments and people quickly. As I went to volunteer at "People and Gardens", an organisation in England, and on a weekly basis (prior to Corona) help refugees in Switzerland to learn German, I realised that I really enjoy helping other people. For that reason, I would love to help out in your family as well! I have played the piano for almost 12 years and the guitar for more than 5, which has taught me the importance of determination and persistence - and also how much fun it is to sing along together :). After graduating Highschool I am taking a gap year, after which I intend on going to university to study Economics/ Business. I would love to spend a few months with your family to get an insight into your culture and help you!
