Hallo!
My name is Anika and I would love to care for your children and become a part of your family.

I have a passion for childcare and am currently working as a governess (nanny) for a family in a small island in Australia. I have absolutely loved becoming a part of their family and more than just their governess.

This year I am moving to Germany and would love to continue in the path of childcare. I am currently in the process of gaining my German passport and can’t wait to move. I am half German and have basic knowledge of the language and am currently leaning. I have spent time in Germany growing up and love the culture. I was born and raised in New Zealand and my native language is English.

I am reliable, enthusiastic, energetic and deeply caring. I care about the two girls I am currently nannying with all of my heart and they are my number one priority. I am empathic and have an excellent ability to deal with upsets children face and have a real way of problem solving through their emotions with them.

I enjoy going above and beyond for this family. I am involved with them outside of work hours as well by choice, going on trips and adventures with them, and spending time with the girls on my weekends as I love to be with them.

I would love to create a similar strong bond with your children and your family and will always have a positive attitude and can guarantee excellent care for your children.

Experience

Since August 2024, I have been working as a governess (nanny) for a family in a small island in Australia, Fraser Island. I will have worked as a governess for a total of 6 months upon my departure.

I school the eldest child (8) and strive to create a fun learning environment and am always engaging in fun activities and with both children (8,3) whether that be outdoor exploring the island, or inside doing crafts and creating. In the period of one school term, I have helped increase the child’s school grades in all areas including behaviour.

I prepare lunch for the children and also help with housework (dishes, cleaning etc). I also help to engage the children in exercise activities outside, and always find fun ways to incorporate play and exercise.
