Hello! My name is Siena. I am a 20-year-old college student based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I am currently studying philosophy and poetry with intentions to teach at a secondary level for either field.

I heard about being an Au Pair online and instantly loved the idea of being able to not only immerse myself in another culture but also to share my own as a Hispanic-Asian woman.

I worked with children during my high school years in a nursery, and I also worked in a general practitioner's office where I would often care for children while their parents had their appointments. I truly miss these times and find that living in a college town, I no longer have the opportunities I once did to interact with the younger generation. I have always found that the younger generation can be the most miraculous inspiration for new ideas in philosophy and poetry. I tend to feel rejuvenated and inspired after spending the time I can with my younger family.

I believe that I can provide a positive role in the lives of any children I care for. I am old enough to be responsible and assertive to keep them out of trouble, but I'm also young enough to relate to them as I can remember what it was like to be a kid in the current world environment. I'm currently nearing my associate's degree, so I would also be able to provide educational activities and fun lectures that feature science, history, English arts, epistemology, and lower levels of math, though I can admit math is not my strongest category of study. I came from a sports family and participated in many myself, so if athletics are more up your kids' alley, I would happily participate and guide them in such activities as well.

As mentioned above, I have worked with children and in medicine. I am currently working to get official medical-related certificates, such as first aid and CPR certifications, but I can confidently say I would be able to effectively work without them.

I am all for communication and doing what the you see best for your children, I just want to be a helping hand to support your family's needs.
