Letter to the family

Hello my future host family,

my name is Chiara, I´m 23 years old and I´m looking for a friendly family where I can spend some time as an AuPair.
I´m currently studying Bioinformatics at the University and I will finish my bachelor degree in May 2023. I´m fluent in German and English but I can speak a little bit of French aswell.

Before I´ve started my studies in October 2019 I was an AuPair in Australia for 7 months (January – July 2019). I looked after a girl who was 6 turning 7 and two twin boys at the age of 4.
Alongside my studies I tutor 5-10 hours a week teenagers between the age of 11 and 17 in different subjects, but especially math. I´m also giving tennis lessons to kids and teenagers between the age of 12 and 15. During the school holidays I´m a tennis coach at a tennis camp in my local tennis club. There are up to 50 children between the age of 5 to 17.

Now, I will give you some information about me: I´m a reliable and ambitious girl, who loves to read and do sports, expecially tennis and dance. But I´m also very calm and I love to cook and to bake.
I like to spend time with my family. I´m living together with my parents and my two younger sisters Viktoria (21y/o) and Tiziana (17y/o) and a bunny in a suburb, called Karlsfeld close to Munich.

Experience

When I was 14 to 16 I was very active in teaching children how to dance and how to play tennis. Now I´m just giving tennis lessons and do some tutoring.

At the dance classes I helped the teacher to prepare the choreography and to show it the children. I also helped with a warming up program. I worked as a dance teacher for two years (from September 2014 to September 2016) before I have started studying for my A Levels.

At tennis lessons I worked as an assistant a teacher at tennis camps. At the tennis lessons most of the children were beginners. That means they had no experience and the first thing I had to do was showing them how to hold a racket and how to play tennis. After assisting fort two years at those lessons I took over my own groups and started working as a tennis coach. Last summer I got my licence as a tennis coach. I´m still an active tennis player.

After finishing my studies I would like to discover new cultures by travelling around the world to countries where I have never been. When I was an Aupair in Australia I really liked the experience and I would like to repeat the experience in a different country. I love working with kids and I´m still in touch with my AuPair family from 2019.
