Letter to the family

I am a passionate and responsible individual pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Outdoor Studies at St. Lawrence University, with a strong GPA of 3.7. I am a certified Wilderness First Responder and will soon be a certified lifeguard, demonstrating my dedication to safety and preparedness. I also work as a substitute teacher and have extensive experience working with children, showcasing my ability to foster growth and provide guidance in a variety of settings.

I wish to become an Au Pair & Nanny because I deeply value creating nurturing, supportive environments for growth and development. My experiences as a substitute teacher, outdoor leader, and caregiver have given me a strong foundation for providing meaningful, enriching care to children. This role aligns with my passion for personal connection, cultural exchange, and making a positive impact on families and individuals.

You should host me because I bring a unique blend of skills, adaptability, and a warm personality. I am a certified Wilderness First Responder, soon-to-be lifeguard, and an experienced substitute teacher. These roles have honed my ability to ensure safety while creating engaging and educational environments for children. My extensive experience working with kids, from leading outdoor trips to organizing fun and enriching activities, makes me an ideal candidate to support your family.

I am highly qualified for this position due to my extensive experience working with children in various capacities, including substitute teaching, leading educational outdoor trips, and organizing youth programs. My certification as a Wilderness First Responder and my upcoming lifeguard certification ensure I can maintain a safe environment for your children. Additionally, my studies in psychology equip me with a strong understanding of developmental needs and emotional support, while my leadership skills reflect my ability to provide engaging and meaningful care.

Experience

While I haven’t formally worked as an Au Pair, I have extensive experience caring for and working with children across various settings. As a substitute teacher, I’ve managed classrooms for young children, creating a structured and engaging environment for learning. In my role as a raft guide, I led families with children through outdoor adventures, ensuring their safety while fostering fun and connection. Additionally, as a leader in outdoor education, I’ve taught kids essential skills such as teamwork, communication, and environmental stewardship during guided trips and activities. These experiences have equipped me with patience, adaptability, and a natural ability to bond with children. I have had extensive experience baby sittings and nannying for familys in the short term and am happy to elaborate on this!
I want to become an Au Pair & Nanny abroad to combine my love for working with children with my passion for cultural exchange and personal growth. Immersing myself in another culture while caring for children allows me to contribute to their development in a meaningful way while learning from a new environment and lifestyle. I am excited to bring my skills in teaching, outdoor leadership, and creativity to a family abroad, creating memorable experiences for the children and fostering a sense of connection and support within the household.
