Hi my name is Lauren, I’m 21 years old and I live in Scotland in the United Kingdom. I currently live at home with my mum, dad, older brother and my cat. I currently work two different jobs, my first job is in a private nursery within my local area. I work in the baby room with babies aged 0-2 years old, this experience has allowed me the chance to learn about safeguarding children, age and stage appropriate activities and the importance of nurturing children. I have learned so much whilst working at this nursery and I would love to share my experience with an amazing family.
I am also a gymnastics coach, I work with all different children and young people aged one right up to eighteen. The gymnasts I work with are all at different ages and stages meaning everyday is different. I support gymnasts who have not long taken their first steps to learn basics of balancing and building up their fine motor skills with using hand help apparatus and toys all the way through to gymnasts who are competing at national competitions representing Scotland. This is one of my main passions in life as I myself have been part of this sport since I was aged 6 and I absolutely love it.

I would love to become an Au Pair and Nanny as my experience working in a nursery has allowed to learn the skills and qualities needed whilst working with children. I would love to work with a family and build up special bonds and relationships with the whole family. I love visiting and exploring new places so I feel an Au Pair and nanny is the perfect way to do this. I am a hard worker who is constantly looking to improve myself by listening to feedback and figuring out ways I can better myself and my work.

I think I would be a perfect match for any family as I’m a fun, loving, outgoing person and I absolutely love learning about new people and their cultures. I have a passion for working with children in the early years of their life as it is such a magical time of life, I love the new milestones which are achieved all the time and I love helping children and young people achieve these milestones.

I qualify for this position as I completed my HNC Childhood Practice in 2022 where I have used it throughout my coaches experience, babysitting experiences and of course in my nursery setting. This experience has allowed to complete extra training and learn lots of valuable life lessons as well.
