Letter to the family

Hallo! Hi!
It is always difficult for me to tell about myself in writing because I am a very enthusiastic person with many interests and experiences, but maybe let us start from the beginning. I grew up in a small settlement in faraway Siberia where temperatures in winter drop to -60°C. I am the only child, but every year for the whole summer I was in Ukraine with my big family, and I always had many nephews and nieces with whom I loved to play and come up with different activities.
After finishing high school I studied in Saint Petersburg and got my Bachelor's degree in International Relations. Why this field? I always wanted to work for a good cause and I thought that the best way to do it would be working in big international organizations like the UN, specifically, I was interested in UNICEF.

Experience

One of my biggest passions is volunteering. I have already had many wonderful experiences - in Russia with charity events and orphanages houses, in Germany with Human Rights Education, in Finland with European Solidarity Corps doing youth work. To me, volunteering is about contributing to a good cause, but also about meeting new people and developing yourself.
Currently I am doing youth work in Finland - summer camps, volunteering projects, environmental education for children and much more but recently I realized need to discover something new and challenge myself. As I have had only great experience so far, I feel ready to take part in Au Pair program as it is amazing chance to help family, experience more close work with children, improve my German (I have studied it in the university, but I am lacking practice) and discover Austria from within. I believe that cultural exchange can be a very enriching experience, and I am eager to learn from you as much as I hope to teach. I believe that I can contribute greatly thanks to my background as youth worker and environmental educator.

I am flexible, adaptable, and always open to learning and following your family’s rules and routines.
