Letter to the family

Dear Host Family

Although I am a mature older woman, I am young at heart and very fit as I participate in many sports.

I have brought up a family of two boys who are now in their thirties but have not yet given me grandchildren.

I have a house in Spain which I used to use for 5 months in the winter but because of Brexit I am now only permitted 3 months in any 6 months.

I would like to work for a family in Spain from January for 3-5 months (visa permitting). I am currently learning Spanish and am now at an intermediate level. I also speak a little German and French. I would be happy to teach your children English.

I am also very sporty and have taught my own boys and others to ski and snowboard. I am very happy to participate or take your children to sports clubs.

I love all pets having had a dog for 16 years, she sadly passed away April 2021. I have house and pet sat for a few families and I have also fostered dogs.
I would be happy to take care of your pets as if they were my own.

I am a proficient cook in many dishes and happy to help in the kitchen or preparing snacks for the children.

Previously I was a secretary in a University where I regularly trained in first aid & defibrillator. I feel I would be of help in any common emergency if it were to arise. I am currently waitressing in a local hotel over the summer until I can get out to Spain again. I changed my job for the flexibility and I enjoy the customer contact and interaction with so many different people.

I would be happy to help with household chores, do the shopping, school runs etc - you only have to ask.

I have a driving licence and would drive my car to Spain, which I have done for the past 8 years. I have experience of many car rentals and have driven my friends cars, automatics as well as manuals. So you will have the confidence I could drive your car.

I would love to be part of your family and assist in anyway I can.
