Hello! My name is Michael and I'm 23 years old and I currently work as a FF/EMT at a small rural department. I want to become an Au Pair because I want to travel and experience different forms of work, as I don't think the fire service is my true passion. I think I would be a good pick as an Au Pair because I tend to get along with families well and I enjoy helping out wherever I can. I may not have extensive knowledge of childcare, though I do enjoy learning and I'm a fast learner, I'm good at teaching what I know, and my top priority is the safety of my friends and family.

I would like to become an Au Pair because I want to travel, develop new skills, improve current skills, and have new experiences! I've always enjoyed assisting other people and would like to be kind of like someone's "right hand man". I prefer hands-on work, and I tend to get along with people of all ages pretty well; though I admit it has been a while since I last worked with kids. I may not be an expert, but I'd like to improve upon my skills so that I may be better prepared for my own kids someday.
