Hello future host family! I'm Olivia-- a lover of cultures, story-telling, and helping others. I have spent the past few years working in secondary and higher education in hopes of helping students from all walks of life pursue their next goal. Last summer, I helped my great-aunt in Switzerland with laundry, running errands, conversating during meal times, and transition between hospitals for around two weeks. The experience humbled me immensely and helped me become more compassionate. While I do not have medical training formally, I would love to bring my helpful nature and active listening skills to a soul who needs the care and attention. Whether it's a breakfast conversation or helping write correspondence, I would love nothing more than to be a companion. Not to mention, I have so much to learn from those around me and could benefit from the stories those around me would like to share! For that reason, I believe that I would make a great candidate since I am not only so eager to learn how I can uniquely care for those around me, but because I have active experience in guiding others through their present circumstances.
