Letter to the family

Hello, my name is Erick. I am 34 years old, Brazilian and I live in Italy.
About 10 years ago, my life has changed. My mother was 73 years old and had difficulty doing the housework alone. She had always been a hard-working woman and took care of her younger brother who was mentally disabled. Then, my uncle had an accident and couldn't count on anyone, not even my mother, because it would be necessary to accompany him during his stay in the hospital, which lasted about 3 months. That was when my life began to change. I stayed with my uncle in the hospital for 3 months without leaving there until he underwent surgery on his knee. After that, I took care of him for several months until he was able to walk again, because my mom no longer had the strength to take care of him.
Over time, my mom began to have more difficulty doing simple activities such as cooking. So, I had to gradually give up on my job to come home eventually to cook, bathe my uncle, etc. In 2019, my mom was diagnosed with brain stem cancer, and it was then that I began to dedicate myself fully to taking care of my mother and uncle.
Shortly after, my mother stopped walking due to the rupture of a femoral prosthesis, which was very old. Since then, I have been her legs wherever she needs to go, at home, I always carry her in my arms and when necessary, I use the wheelchair.
My uncle passed away last year, and my mother is fine, strong, and well cared for as she deserves. Today, my sister helps me, but I was able to take care of both of them alone for years and I am grateful to God for this experience.

It was by taking care of them that I discovered my passion for helping those in need.
I am a happy and fun person, patient, disciplined and I have no difficulty in putting the people I care for above my own life; in fact, it is a pleasure.
I want to be more than just a caregiver, I want to be an eternal companion, a faithful friend, someone you can trust and feel like being part of the family. May I be that person for you.
That's why I have great experience with my mom who is elderly and my uncle who was disabled, I know how to cook (I cook well, to be honest ^^) and I learn easily, so I wouldn't have any trouble learning new dishes, including your favorite.
Count on me, I'll be by your side if you need me.
