I have a strong and genuine interest in working with children, and I bring both practical experience and enthusiasm to the role. Over the past several years, I have worked as a babysitter for various families, caring for children ranging from toddlers to school-age. These responsibilities have included preparing meals, supervising playtime, assisting with bedtime, and engaging the children in creative activities.
In addition to babysitting, whilst I was at school, I volunteered to work and help teachers with the younger year groups, where I provided support through structured play and learning activities. These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of child development and the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. I have completed basic first aid and CPR training, which helps me feel confident and well-prepared to respond to any situations that may arise.
Growing up with a younger sister has also provided me with valuable, hands-on experience in caring for and guiding children. This personal experience taught me patience, responsibility, and how to be a consistent and positive role model within a family dynamic.
What I have enjoyed most about my childcare experience is the opportunity to contribute to a child’s development and daily happiness. I find it deeply rewarding to build trust with children, support their creativity, and help them feel seen and supported. Through these roles, I have learned to adapt to different personalities and needs, remain calm under pressure, and approach childcare with empathy, attentiveness, and reliability.

As I said in my introduction, I've just sat my A-Levels and finished Sixth-Form (UK equivalent of high-school) and have decided to take a gap year to take a break, but also have the opportunity to work and travel ( why I want to become an Au-Pair, it's the perfect blend!), before I go off to University to study Politics and French.
