Letter to the family

Hi! I hope you are doing well! My name is Hlumsile Bakitsi , but most people call me Purple. I’m from the beautiful Kingdom of Swaziland/Eswatini, my mother is South African, so I’d say I’m mixed. ( Swaziland and South Africa are closely linked anyway ) I’m 24 years old and currently living in North Cyprus. I love working with kids, and I’m passionate about teaching children which is one of the reasons why I decided to pursue this adventure. For me it isn’t very important how I get to be around kids but that I am around them. They are such a light and I believe being an Au pair for a kind and respectful family would be very fulfilling. I also am curious about other cultures, and open to learning and exploring, as well as sharing some gems about my culture as well!

Experience

A little about me.. I’m very close to my grandparents! They are my favorite people in the world! I enjoy taking walks, visiting coffee shops, trying new foods, exploring the cities, being around nature, dressing up, reading etc I also enjoy drawing and coloring from time to time, I’d love to do that with your children — I think it would be a fun way for us to bond and get creative together! I believe the best way to work with kids is to be excited, creative, and impactful in their lives, so I’m open to any approach that lets us have fun while learning.
I’d love to hear more about your family’s routine and how I can best support you. After my Au pair experience I’m most probably going to get into teaching English to children. Thanks so much for considering me — I can’t wait to get to know you all! Take care!
