My name is Hugo, I'm nineteen and I'm hoping to move to Dublin in September for the new academic year to study English Literature at UCD. For the last two years I've worked in hospitality and I am quite useful with cooking and doing house chores.

I wish to become an Au Pair as I was it grant me stable housing in Ireland and would give me the advantage of integrating within the city a lot more comfortably than the more standard methods. Having been the older brother for my step-siblings for a most of my youth, I feel qualified and comfortable to take care of children and I enjoy performing acts of service like cooking and cleaning. I've been a cook and waiter for some time now and I have no problem helping out performing manual chores. I lived alone for a year abroad in the Netherlands after finishing secondary school and this also gave me a chance to learn to take care of myself on my own. I don't presume to know as much as someone who has actually studied and worked in elderly care, but over the last year I have helped with taking care of my grandparents who are quite old now by aiding them with tasks like giving my grandfather his daily shot of insulin. I think this has awarded me some knowledge on what it means to take care of those who can't do so on their own.

I speak English and Spanish fluently and I know French at an intermediate level. I'm capable of helping with school work, especially humanities and languages as that is what I have always thrived in. I'm quiet, well-mannered and responsible. I don't tend to go out much and I like to have time to devote to myself and around the house. My hobbies include reading, listening to music (I'm a big Bob Dylan fan), watching movies and going to the gym.
