Letter to the family

Hi there!
My name is Jess, I am a recent graduate of Philosophy and German from the University of Bristol. I currently work as an english language teacher in Vietnam, and I am looking for an au pairing opportunity from March 2024 (although could start earlier if it's the right fit).
I have plenty of experience with children- having 5 siblings myself, I definitely relate to children and their struggles, but also act as a responsible mentor as I did with my younger siblings.
I love music and play the piano, oboe, guitar, bass guitar and I sing. I would absolutely love to bring music into your child's life, if this is something they'd like.
I am an ERCA level 2 qualified high ropes instructor with a valid first aid certificate and experience in teaching bushcraft, climbing, zipwire and highropes. I also hold a Level 5 Ofqual certified TESOL qualification with over 100 hours teaching experience.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you consider me as your next au pair!

Experience

I have a lot of experience with looking after my younger brothers growing up, as well as looking after nieces and nephews.
I am currently working as a TESOL teacher in Ho Chi Minh City, looking after several classes aged 4-18.
I spent last summer as a group leader and activity instructor in a large outdoor activity centre in the UK. This gave me incredible experience in a hands on role with children.
My conversation based job involved looking after both large and small groups of children at The Wild Place Project, which is a zoo in Bristol. I was responsible for teaching them about the animals and the conservation work that we do in a fun and engaging way. I also had to look after the children who stayed overnight for the VIP zoo experience. I would simply play and entertain them whilst the parents had an opportunity to relax.
I was a high ropes instructor who taught children how to climb the high ropes course safely. I am also a qualified rescuer so rescued many young children from the course who were overwhelmed. However I always tried to encourage the children to continue and believe in themselves.
I spent a week as an English speaking assistant at a Grundschule in Celle in order to kickstart my 'Gruffalo' project. This involved teaching the children the English version of the Gruffalo, using puppets and toys as props. Afterwards, I got the German school in contact with my local primary school and set up a pen pal communication. Then back at home, I taught German at the primary school for one semester, teaching the German version of the Gruffalo. Eventually, I led the children to create a theatrical version of the Gruffalo, and the author kindly came to watch the show!
I have had a job to some capacity alongside my full time studies since I was 14 years old, so I am very used to time management and juggling work. In my work endeavors, I dealt with helping others with special needs, for example having a weekly interaction with a blind and deaf man. Alongside this, I have 2 siblings who have autism. As the only daughter in my family, and with a mother who works as a doctor full time, I am often the carer for my brothers and therefore have plenty of experience with young children with behavioral disorders.
In addition, my father is disabled so I have experience in helping physically challenged individuals, such as changing dressings, helping them to move and ensuring they have all the medication they need. In addition to having a fully accredited first aid course, I am very confident in situations regarding health and safety due to my parents being doctors- I have had the opportunity to learn exactly what to do in emergency situations, and I find it very easy to learn about various mental and physical demands your child may have.
