Letter to the family

Dear Host family,
I am a Belgian student moving abroad to finish my studies and become a university student. I work/volunteer with children from all ages in my country. I also study Maatschappij en Welzijn a field heavily focused on child development, education, and care. I'll be graduating in this field come 2026.

I am fluent in both English and Dutch, I speak French as well and would like to get back into speaking it more often since I haven't in a while. I am good at doing housework and can cook like a pro I can make basically anything from scratch and in a healthier more nutritious way for the kids.

I have lots of experience working for a babysitting service as well as hosting camps and day camps for all children. I have experience with children with special needs not only from some of the sleep away camps but also from working and volunteering for Ankerpunt in Belgium which gives day camps to kids with special needs. I am looking for a host family that is both understanding and respectful of my University studies and my life as their Au pair.

Experience

I love children and don't want to give up on my work with children but don't have a choice but to move abroad for school because I can't afford it in my home country. A friend of mine recommended I become an Au pair so I could still work with kids and have my housing cleared and set in place for university. I have no experience being an Au pair but have been working for a babysitting service for a year now and have experience with over 15 families. I also do day camps every summer since I was 15 as well as sleep away camps. I also have experience with special need kids because of Ankerpunt and my volunteer work there.
