Letter to the family

Dear family,

My name is Katia, I'm 19 and I'm from France. I've always been open to the world and have a deep curiosity for cultures and languages. After graduating high school in 2023, I had the opportunity to spend a gap year in South Korea. It was a transformative experience that allowed me to discover a new culture, broaden my horizons, and develop my independence, resilience and autonomy.

As a person, I'm known for my sensitivity, empathy and organizational skills. I value creativity and authenticity, and enjoy working with children because their energy and spontaneity inspire me. I also have a calm and caring personality, which makes it easy for me to adapt to families' needs and routines.

I'm passionate about travel, languages and discovering new ways of life. My aim as an Au Pair is to create an authentic bond with your family, while helping out on a daily basis and learning about your culture. I'm convinced that this enriching exchange will benefit us all.

I look forward to being part of your daily life, and to contributing with care, enthusiasm and respect.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, or if you would like to arrange a first exchange.

See you soon,
Katia :)

Experience

For me, becoming an au pair is much more than just a work experience. It's a unique opportunity to immerse myself in a different culture while contributing to the daily life of a family. I've always been fascinated by the diversity of cultures and ways of life, and this experience would enable me to reinforce this passion by living in the heart of a family environment.

My desire to become an au pair is also part of a personal and introspective journey. Having grown up in sometimes complex circumstances, I've learned to value genuine human bonds, communication and mutual respect. For me, being an au pair is a way of putting these values into practice while supporting a family in their daily lives.

My experience of life in South Korea has profoundly enriched my vision of the world and taught me the importance of open-mindedness and adaptability. It also gave me a taste for adventure and the courage to take on new challenges. Being an au pair seems to me to be an ideal way of continuing to explore these qualities, while at the same time providing concrete support to a family who will welcome me.

Beyond the cultural aspect, I also want to deepen my interpersonal skills and discover the role I could play in a family dynamic different from the one I've known. My main objective is to learn while giving: offering my help, energy and creativity, while discovering a culture from the inside and forging sincere bonds with family members.

I also see this experience as an opportunity to develop useful skills for the future, such as organization, responsibility and dealing with the unexpected. It's an important step in my life, which will enable me to grow as a person, while pursuing my goal of thriving in multicultural and enriching environments.
