Letter to the family

Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Beril Dinçsoy, I’m 28 years old, and I would love to become an Au Pair in your family! I’m originally from Turkey but have been living in Linz, Austria since March 2024, where I’m doing my Master’s in Management and Polymer Technologies at Johannes Kepler University.

I’ve always enjoyed spending time with children. In 2018, I volunteered in Serbia with AIESEC, working with kindergarten kids. None of them spoke English, and I didn’t speak Serbian, but we managed to communicate through games and drawing. It was a heartwarming experience that showed me how much joy and connection simple moments can bring.

I’d love to become an Au Pair because I enjoy working with kids and believe cultural exchange makes life richer. I’m patient, responsible, and creative, and I’d love to be like a big sister to your children—helping them learn, play, and feel supported.

I’m fluent in English and Turkish, and I’m learning German (currently A1, taking an A2 course at university). While I’m still improving, I’m eager to practice and communicate as much as I can!

Experience

I haven’t been an Au Pair before, but I have experience with children from my time volunteering in Serbia. I worked with kindergarten kids, playing games, drawing, and teaching them small words in English while they taught me some Serbian. It was such a fun and rewarding experience that made me realize how much I enjoy working with kids.

I want to become an Au Pair because I love exploring new cultures, learning languages, and building connections with people. Living abroad has already been an eye-opening experience for me, and I’d love to immerse myself in a family environment where I can both learn and contribute.
