Dear future host family,

My name is Francisca, I’m 22 years old and I recently graduated with a degree in Law. Before starting full-time work, I decided to take a gap year to live something different, challenging, and enriching – and becoming an Au Pair truly feels like the right experience at this stage in my life.

I have always had a natural connection with children – spending time with them, understanding their world, and being part of their growth process brings me a deep sense of purpose. I have been doing babysitting for over six years, caring for children ranging from 6 months to 12 years old. I have worked with large families, twins, and supported children through different stages of their development.

In addition to babysitting, I’ve given school tutoring, led catechism groups, and was an active member of the Scouts. These experiences helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, organization, and empathy – qualities I believe are essential in an Au Pair.

I’ve also had two impactful international experiences: an Erasmus semester in Italy and an internship in Belgium. These taught me how to adapt to different cultures and lifestyles, while strengthening my independence and flexibility. I speak Portuguese and English fluently, and I have a good level of Italian and French.

I am looking for a host family who needs support starting in September or October 2025. I’m open to both short-term stays (3 to 6 months) and longer periods (up to a year). I’m truly excited about the opportunity to contribute, learn, and become part of your family’s daily life.
