Letter to the family

I’m Matilde and i’m 23 years old. I live in Italy, in a little city near Como.
I am excited to start my journey as an au pair this January. I am looking forward to immersing myself in a new culture, developing my language skills, and building meaningful relationships with a host family.

I am enthusiastic about childcare and eager
to share my experiences while also learning
from this unique opportunity.
After graduating from a linguistic high school, I started my university studies in Milan, focusing on languages. Throughout my university years, I worked as an educator in both preschool and elementary school settings (from 1 to 10 years old). I truly enjoyed this role because I have a great love for children and find great fulfillment in supporting their development. Currently, I work as a sales representative for a fabric company, where I continue to apply my language skills and connect with clients.

I have gained extensive experience working with children as an educator in after-school programs. In this role, I took the children to
the canteen, played with them during free time, and assisted them with their
homework. This hands-on experience has
deepened my understanding of child development and reinforced my passion for
working with kids.

I want to pursue this au pair experience because I believe it will allow me to grow personally and gain valuable insights. I feel that this opportunity is the right fit for me at this stage in my life. Additionally, I am not fully satisfied with my current job, so I see this as the perfect moment to make a change and embrace new challenges.
I hope to find the right family for me, that not only makes me feel at home but also makes this experience even more beautiful!
