Letter to the family

im koko, i currently live in london but i used to live in estonia hence why i speak estonian. i was born in japan where i learned japanese and currently run a japanese society club at my school where i teach people japanese and also about the culture. i would love to teach children any languages that i know and help integrate a different culture and mindset into the family.
the main reason i want to become an au pair is to be completely honest, for travelling. i would like to visit as many countries on my bucket list as i can but also building relationships and trust with people. However just because i mainly want to travel does not mean that i would be a young and naive person who goes out for discos near the early hours of the morning; i really want to help in the household, teach people new languages and my culture, discipline children (if i have to lol) and establish good boundaries on both sides. it is important to me that both sides trust one another as i think this is a good ground to begin with.
You should host me if you want someone reliable and serious when it needs be but also lighthearted and positive on daily life. People call me mature (for my age) and i completely agree (sorry that sounds snobby i know i just didn't know how else better to phrase it) as i have had a tough upbringing, but, i am completely confident that as long as both parties are comfortable with one another than we can become like family. Also this is a given, i love being around children because the way they view life is refreshing and somehting to be treasured in our society, but obviously everyone who comes to this website looking to be an au pair says that same thing about nannying experience and how much they love being with children so i will leave it for the moment at this (so as not to elongate this already tremendously long essay); the same applies to me. You can trust that i will take good care of your child / children or granny also helping their development (if you want me to).

Experience

I have never been an au pair.
About six months ago my family and i were discussing living abroad when someone mentioned to me this thing called 'au pair'. i had never heard about it before lol but it seemed rather enticing to me so i did a fast google search and oh how delighted i was. it seems great to me that you can stay in a country with a family to help you settle in (rather than diving straight into the deep end by yourself) and earn a little all the while taking care of some wonderful human beings.
i would like to live abroad because i mean so does everyone? it seems like a wonderful opportunity to learn a new language but also a new culture - an aspect that is very important to me.
I will respect your culture, your household rules and whatever boundaries we set. i like to think of it as teamwork rather than simply one host family inviting a stranger into the house to live and help out the household and vice versa.
i suppose I want to look for someone that will respect me as an individual and can tell me exactly how they feel and whether i am doing satisfactory work for them. i will do the same. i also want someone that will treat me close (obviously doesn't have to be like family if one party doesn't feel comfortable with it) but i definitely want to have the honour to be hosted by someone who has a similar idealogy to me. since i have been very brutally honest in this description of me i hope you will get and idea of me :)
sorry for having so many 'i's at the start of the sentence. i guess it is natural since this description asks potential au pairs to write about themselves but it still feels a little bit self conceited- i wish that it doesn't throw you off :0
