My name is Maddy, and I’m a 27-year-old paediatric Occupational Therapist from Australia (currently living in the United Kingdom). I am currently looking for a warm and welcoming family to support as an Au Pair.

Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of working in some of the most esteemed paediatric hospitals in Australia and England, including Monash Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, and Great Ormond Street Hospital and Evelina Children’s Hospitals in London. My work has been dedicated to helping children and their families engage in meaningful activities and maximise their independence. My passion lies in supporting children’s development, particularly those aged 0-5 years, although I have experience working with children up to 18 years old.

In addition to my professional background, I have extensive experience working with families in Australia as a babysitter, a role I fulfilled for seven years while completing my studies. I am also a trained Pilates instructor, which allows me to incorporate physical well-being into the daily lives of those I care for.

I am first aid trained, a non-smoker, and hold a valid driving licence. I have a deep love for the outdoors, sports, and creative activities like arts and crafts, which I find wonderful for inspiring children’s creativity.

While I wouldn’t call myself an expert cook, I am keen to learn if cooking is an important part of your family’s routine. I am always enthusiastic about trying new things and expanding my skills.

I studied French for six years in school, and although Australia’s distance from France limited my opportunities for practice, I’ve recently enjoyed visiting various parts of France, including Beaune, Antibes, Colmar, Lourmarin, Puyloubier and Cassis. These experiences have rekindled my love for the language, and I would be delighted to continue improving my French within your family.
