Letter to the family

Dear Family,

My name is Millie and I'm currently in my final year of school in London, studying French, English literature and History. I'm planning to study languages at university the year after next, but so far I haven't had the opportunity to live abroad - although we have traveled a lot as a family. I really want to experience the culture of another country, and ideally have the opportunity to live as part of another family.

My parents both studied languages at university, and brought my siblings and me up with a passion for learning about life and culture in other countries. In the past, we have hosted a few au pairs, several of whom we are still in touch with, and this kind of bond is one of the reasons I want to be an au pair, now that I'm old enough.

Experience

I have two younger siblings and we live with two cats, so I'm used to a busy house. I babysat for many other families from the age of 15 - in some cases on a long term weekly basis. I've completed basic first aid training, am a good cook and enjoy spending time with kids. I love animals, and would hopefully form a bond with any pets as well as your children.

I have also coached inclusive hockey weekly with children (of a variety of ages) who have additional physical and mental needs for around 4 years.
