I have worked as a teacher for almost 4 years now. I worked as a youth mentor during my time at university and began training to teach maths to secondary school children (11-18) after I graduated. After I qualified, I moved to London and taught history and maths in an all boys prep school (ages 6-13) before becoming their lead teacher of music. I now teach music in another mixed-gender prep school (ages 4-11), tutor mathematics privately, run musical theatre holi camps and teach musical theatre/choreography at a music academy. I have a whole host of fun, educational ideas and activities to keep your children (and myself!) entertained and am more than happy to offer more structured tutoring if this is desirable! I want to take a career break and take the opportunity to travel and explore another country/culture/language whilst I still can. I love working with children and admire how they see the world. I’ve only really worked with children in formal educational settings, I feel working within a family environment as an au pair would open a whole new perspective and insight into another culture and be an amazing opportunity to become part of another family!
