Letter to the family

Hi! My name's Natalie and I'm going to be living in Porto for a little while. I'm from the United States but my parents are from Portugal so I grew up speaking a fair bit of Portuguese at home. I'm majoring in film with a minor in journalism and will be doing online classes for a university back home in America while living in Porto. I absolutely adore children and have worked in childcare previously ( I took care of 15 10-year-olds!). I am CPR certified, love to cook, and don't mind cleaning up or doing chores. I won't be needing a place to stay as my family owns a condo in the heart of the city. I would love to be a "big sister" for your family!

Experience

I have previously worked in childcare, however on a much larger scale. Essentially I cared for roughly 15 10-year-old kids. I absolutely adored it although it was quite a busy job. Working with so many children gave me a completely different insight into how to treat and care for different types of children. My biggest takeaway from the experience was how meaningful some of the connections I made with those children were. I would love to be able to pass on some of my acquired knowledge of manners, practical life skills, and many other things. I love to cook and believe it's never too early to start learning. I excelled in areas such as writing, history, psychology, etc., and would love to pass on my knowledge.
