Letter to the family

Hello! My name is Isobel and I live a very small town here in Massachusetts, USA. I have worked with kids in the past by babysitting for families and also volunteering at a local homeless shelter with my Girl Scout troop. I love doing crafts, baking, exploring the outdoors, trying new foods, and enjoying time with my friends. I would like to be an Au Pair so that I can spend time in a new culture and teach English to your child/children! I would like to make it a fun summer for your children and I by teaching them English and spending time outside in the sun. I graduated high school (college) in 2018 and went on to study Nursing at university and am in my second year. I decided on nursing because I am driven to help others and consider myself compassionate and caring. While studying nursing I became CPR certified. I come from a family of five with my two parents, an older sister, and a younger brother. My parents both travelled a lot when they were younger and my sister also just recently finished her year abroad in Stuttgart, Germany. Throughout my childhood I have spent sometime traveling to Europe with my family. My mother grew up in Ireland and still has lots of family living there so we like to visit them as much as we can!

Experience

I have had some experience working with kids in the past working as a babysitter for families that needed me only a few times a month. I taught a religious education class in my church to 8 year olds for two years during my high school (college) years. I have also done a lot of volunteer work with my Girl Scout troop in homeless shelters where we did holiday crafts with the kids. I want to be an Au Pair because I believe it will be a once in a lifetime experience and give me the chance to learn what life is like in another country. I am also motivated to make it a good experience for your family by teaching English to the children and making it a fun summer for them.
