Who I am and why I would like to be an au pair
My name is Sarah, I am 20 years old and come from Mönchengladbach, Germany. I am currently studying medicine in Aachen, but I have consciously decided to take a year off from my studies – until April 2026 – to gain new experiences, develop myself, and learn more about other cultures, people, and ways of life.

I have a great passion for languages, other countries, and working with children. That's why the opportunity to become part of a family abroad as an au pair appeals to me. I don't just want to "help," but to truly be a temporary family member – a reliable caregiver for the children and a relief for the parents.

Why I'm a good fit for your family
I am a calm, open, reliable, and warm-hearted person who loves spending time with children. I am empathetic and adapt well to different needs and personalities – whether through playing, reading aloud, listening, or sharing everyday life together. At the same time, I enjoy taking on responsibility and helping out around the house when needed.

What makes me special is my blend of life experience, cultural interest, and practical helpfulness. I have previously worked in care, tutored, and looked after children in my circle of friends. This not only gives me patience and caring skills, but also a natural ability to deal with challenges.

Why I'm qualified for this position
In addition to my experience with children and my strong motivation, I also bring linguistic and cultural openness: I am fluent in German (native), English, and French (DELF C1). I don't speak Greek yet, but I'm very willing to learn and look forward to getting to know the language and culture of the country.

I'm also athletic, enjoy being outdoors, play field hockey in a club, and love baking—which I also enjoy doing with the children. I have a driver's license and am open to adapting to new structures and becoming part of a family that lets me share in their everyday lives.
