Letter to the family

Hi! My name is Mounya, I live in Spain and I love traveling and expanding my worldview learning from other cultures. I am easy going and quiet, but I can also be energetic and extroverted.

When it comes to dealing with children, there is a word in spanish that describes very well my vision of childcare, and it is "acompañar" ("to accompany"), which means to walk with someone without interfeering too much, that is: letting them learn and be independent as much as possible, and providing what it´s needed in the best way possible, as every child is unique.

I don´t have young siblings around me anymore, but I have experience volunteering for 4 years as an organizer and instructor of leisure time with teenagers (12-16 years old) and one year working as an instructor with children aged 3-5 and 6-12, doing activities such as cooking, group tours, going to the cinema, theme parties, etc., and everytime there is a family gathering where children are present, I go and hang out with them. I love spending time and connecting with them, and I have always taken care of my little cousins when we used to travel to my mother country every summer.
