Dear family:

My name is Valentina and through this letter I will tell you a little about myself. I am from Venezuela although I have been living abroad for several years. I have just left and lived in various countries where I have learned about different cultures and languages. I currently live in Madrid, Spain for about a year and I am ready for a new adventure.

I consider myself a dynamic, active and very happy person. I love learning new cultures, foods and languages and sharing them with the younger generations. I speak Spanish, English and a little Portuguese and Italian. I would like to start speaking French as well. I love outdoor activities, going on picnics, to parks and museums, cycling, yoga and hiking. I consider myself a person very inclined towards art, music, dancing and I love creating things with my hands, drawing, painting and sculpting. I am an animal lover and I like to instill love for them.

I have worked with children since I graduated from college because I love teaching them new things and learning from them, as I believe that they always have important lessons to teach us. I have been working with them for more than five years as an educator, caregiver, and facilitator of special activities. I want to live the Au Pair experience to live the cultural exchange doing what I like the most, which is working with children and teaching them everything I know.

I hope to find a family to live this experience in a way that is enriching for both of us.

Experience

I started after finishing my university degree, in an English-speaking American school that taught me the basics and the most important things I know. The Carousel School was my training house where its director Mrs. Prince trained us with all her knowledge and experience in the area. I started in 2018 as a Teacher Assistant and after two years I was assigned my own class in the ESL (English as a Second Language) evening program.

In 2021 I worked at Mini Piaget, a daycare and summer camp where I also spent an incredible year, together with coworkers and creative and super fun children.

In 2022 I lived a few months in Dubai, where I worked at AFC, a soccer academy for children where I taught this incredible sport promoting brotherhood, teamwork, sports ethics and healthy competition. Without a doubt a unique experience that I thank its founder and CEO Kevin Denecker for.

In 2023 I finally moved to Spain and since my arrival I have dedicated myself to the care of children of various ages, from months to primary age, where I have provided school support and various activities that promote creativity and contact with nature. To date I have dedicated myself to this and I am ready to continue learning and teaching.
