Letter to the family

Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Tilde, and I am 19 years old from Malmö, Sweden. I am currently finishing my high school education with a focus on Humanities, studying subjects such as history, English, Latin, and cultural history. I have always been passionate about learning new things, meeting new people, and exploring different cultures. After graduation, I plan to further my studies in history and the humanities at university.

I am excited to apply for the Au Pair position because I have always had a deep love for children, cultural exchange, and helping others. I believe being an Au Pair would be a wonderful opportunity to grow both personally and professionally, while also gaining valuable life experiences in a new environment. I am particularly drawn to the chance of living with a family, being a part of their daily routines, and contributing to their household in a meaningful way.

Why should you host me? I am a responsible, caring, and social person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. I have experience working in different roles where I have interacted with the public and taken care of responsibilities. For example, I have worked as an ambassador for an organization where I have spoken at events and given lectures, a role that requires good communication skills, responsibility, and the ability to interact with a variety of people. I am also experienced in sales from working at a Christmas market and as a park caretaker, where I was trusted to interact with customers and manage tasks on my own.

In addition to my social and organizational skills, I am also very adaptable and open to new experiences. I am used to stepping out of my comfort zone and taking on new challenges, such as traveling abroad and immersing myself in different cultures. I am fluent in both Swedish and English, and I am committed to learning and improving my language skills during my time as an Au Pair.

What makes me well-qualified for this role is my enthusiasm and motivation to contribute to your family. I genuinely care about creating a positive and supportive environment for children, whether it’s through engaging activities, helping with homework, or simply spending quality time together. I am patient, reliable, and always willing to go the extra mile to make the experience enjoyable for both the children and the family.

I am excited about the opportunity to not only support your family with childcare but also learn more about your culture and language, and share a bit of mine with you. Experience

I don’t have direct experience as an Au Pair yet, but I have a strong passion for working with children, experiencing different cultures, and contributing to a family’s daily life. Growing up, I’ve always enjoyed being around kids and helping them with their learning and activities. This natural connection with children, combined with my enthusiasm for cultural exchange, has led me to pursue an Au Pair opportunity.

I believe that becoming an Au Pair abroad would be an incredible chance for me to grow both personally and professionally. It would allow me to gain valuable international experience, improve my language skills, and immerse myself in a new culture. I’m also excited by the idea of becoming a part of a family’s everyday life, helping with childcare, learning about their traditions, and contributing to their household in meaningful ways.

What draws me to being an Au Pair is the combination of responsibilities and rewards it offers. I’m looking forward to building strong relationships with the children, helping them develop new skills, and creating a safe and enjoyable environment for them.
