Letter to the family

My name is Charlotte and I am a student from Manchester in England. I am looking for a lovely host family to be an au pair for. I would love to be an au pair to gain more experience working with children, and to have an amazing cultural exchange.

I have a degree in Linguistics and I am working on my TESOL certificate, and I would love to help your children learn English alongside other childcare duties.

I have worked in a primary school with young children in the past, along with looking after my own younger siblings and cousins, and I would love to help out as part of your family too. I am a very friendly and hardworking person and I know I would fit in well with the right family.

I studied French at school, and I can speak the language at an intermediate level (level B1/B2). I would love to improve my language skills or learn a new language!

Experience

I would like to become an au pair to get more experience working with children, and to share my own culture with the family. I would also like to have an au pair experience to learn what it is like to live in a different country, and maybe learn another new language!

I would like to be treated with respect as another member of your family, and become like an older sister to your children. I would love to have enough free time to explore the area and culture of your country alongside my childcare duties.

As I have a Linguistics degree, I would love to share my knowledge of English with the children I look after, as I believe that new languages and culture enriches a child's life and opportunities.
