Letter to the family

I am 38 years old and I have been a nanny for numerous families, a respite care provider to families with children or adults with special needs, a one-on-one aid in the school district for a child. I also worked for CASA of Mariposa County for 6 years as the program coordinator helping children and youth in the foster care system and created a respite care program at our agency. I am trained in first aid and CPR as I was a wilderness first responder and I worked as a flight attendant as well.

I'm looking for a AuPair opportunity in which I could include my son who will turn 8 in February. He is a wonderful person and I would love to be able to both care for him and your children. I'm happy to answer any questions you have.

I am a kind, silly and very responsible Nanny. I love children and believe that giving them the best care possible is one of the best gifts we can give this world.

Experience

I love watching children grow up in my care. In my last position the baby I was caring for was born pre-mature and so I took care of him when he was so very small and he would sleep in my arms. When I left he was just starting to walk.
I've taken care of so many children through respite care programs and as a nanny that I've lost count but I remember all of the wonderful children and their families and stay in touch with many of them. I have incredible references as well.
I have always wanted to show my son the world. I was a flight attendant for a time but it took me away from him too often. I began nannying again and when everything went to distance learning school my son was able to come to work with me. I saw how wonderful it was not just to have my son with me but to have the child I was caring for have another child to play with as well. They became great friends and I hope to find something like this again in a new place we can explore.
