Letter to the family

Hello! My name is Tessa, and I’m from Australia. I’m currently taking a gap year before starting my studies at Melbourne University, where I plan to major in French. I’ve always been passionate about spending time with children and animals, and been babysitting since I was 14. I also have a dog and a cat of my own, so I’m used to caring for pets and looking after others.

I’m excited about the opportunity to become an Au Pair and Live-in Tutor because I love the idea of immersing myself in a new culture and hopefully speak French. It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to improve my French and gain firsthand experience in a different cultural setting, which is something I’ve always wanted to do. I would also love to meet a new family and help out in any way possible.

I believe I would be a great addition to your family because I’m responsible, reliable, and adaptable. Having worked with children and animals for many years, I’m comfortable taking on various tasks and responsibilities. I’m also very open to learning from others, which makes me a flexible and fast learner so that I can adapt to your needs.

I qualify for this position because of my experience with babysitting, my love for working with children, and my ability to manage multiple tasks. I’m also excited to contribute to your family’s routine, whether it’s helping with schoolwork, preparing meals, or simply spending time with your children and pets.

Experience

I would love to become an Au Pair because I speak French and am eager to improve my language skills while immersing myself in a new cultural environment. I’m very fond of children and truly enjoy spending time with them, which makes this opportunity even more exciting for me. I’m also eager to experience and learn about a new family's culture and daily life. Both my mother and sister have been au pairs in France and have had incredible experiences. Hearing about their time being an au pair made me realise how much I would love the chance to have a similar experience of my own.
