Letter to the family

Hello, I'm Kaylee! I was raised in the U.S, in the state of New Hampshire, where I grew up with my parents, my older brother and multiple cats and dogs. Throughout my life I have always been involved in sports, whether that be playing, coaching, or volunteering my time. Within the last couple of years I have been working at overnight summer camps where I am a counselor to children of all ages. At this camp, I have been working alongside adults from around the world who solo travel and work with children using the program camp America. An English friend of mine brought this job to my attention and I found the idea to be perfectly aligned with my long-term goals. I believe a candidate should host me because I have years of experience working with children ranging from 5-15 years old; I'm a certified lifeguard; I am CPR/AED certified; I have lived with roommates at college and keep a tidy space, and I have worked in kitchens, so I am comfortable cooking/prepping meals.

Experience

The past two summers I have worked as an overnight summer camp counselor, where we are responsible for the children's safety all hours of the day and night. I have led campers in activities such as archery, boating, airsoft, climbing wall, arts and crafts, swimming activities, and have been trusted by management to take campers on day trips where they could experience horseback riding and sailing. As the head lifeguard at camp I was instructed to teach all lifeguards how to conduct swim tests for the campers whilst overseeing multiple swimming areas. I would love to become an Au Pair & Nanny abroad because I'm keen to learn new languages; meet amazing people; immerse myself in different cultures and of course work with children, just like I did at camp where almost all the staff were international and quickly became my life-long friends.
