Hello!

My name is Sebastian, and I'm currently a student planning to take a gap year during the upcoming school year. I've been studying Elementary Education for the past four years, and teaching is a true passion of mine. There's nothing more rewarding than watching children grow into remarkable individuals, and being part of that journey is something I deeply cherish.

Soccer has been a huge part of my life since I was young—I've always had a ball at my feet. Many of the important decisions I've made over the years have been influenced by my love for the sport. I even moved to the middle of the Pacific to play soccer at the collegiate level. My passion for teaching is closely tied to my love for coaching. I truly enjoy making a positive impact on children's lives, whether it's on the field or in the classroom.

I'm a tidy and approachable person who is always considerate of others. I like to keep to myself and respect others' space. Outside of education and soccer, I also enjoy music and anime as some of my other hobbies.

I am excited about the opportunity to become an Au Pair because it allows me to travel, experience new cultures, and build meaningful connections with people. I've had the privilege of meeting host families who have become valuable mentors in my life, and I look forward to the chance to learn and grow from this experience as well.

As I mentioned, I’m great with kids of all ages, having worked with children ranging from 6 to 17 years old. I would be happy to help with tutoring, babysitting, or any other child care needs. I'm physically fit and ready to take on any responsibilities required. I can also cook and clean if needed.

Experience

Although my experience as an Au Pair is limited, I do have valuable experience babysitting for host families. During my time playing professional soccer, I was fortunate to be welcomed into various homes across the United States. In many of these instances, I would care for the host families' children in exchange for accommodation while I was away from home.

The children I cared for often looked up to me as a role model, and their families considered me a part of their own. I am truly grateful for these experiences and the relationships I’ve built. In fact, I still stay in touch with many of these families today, and I cherish the connections we've made.

I would love to be an Au Pair abroad because I want to experience as much of the world as possible. I grew up in a family where success was often measured by how much money you made or how successful you appeared to be. I don’t blame my culture for thinking this way—when you immigrate to another country for a better life, those are often the main concerns. However, I’ve come to see things differently.

For me, the true value in life comes from the memories you make and the people you meet. The world is vast, and throughout one's lifetime, there’s only so much of it you can see. If you don’t take the initiative to explore the world, you’re limiting yourself in ways that go beyond what external factors can hold you back from. I believe that stepping out and embracing new experiences is the key to a fulfilling life, and becoming an Au Pair is the perfect opportunity to do just that.
