Dear Host Family,

My name is Roberta, I’m a 24-year-old graduate in Psychology from Milan, Italy. I’ve recently completed my degree and, before starting my professional career, I am eager to spend three months abroad experiencing life in another country and becoming part of a new culture.

In 2023, I had the amazing opportunity to participate in an Erasmus program in America, where I not only furthered my academic studies but also improved my English skills. Thanks to that experience, I am now confident and fluent in the language, and I genuinely enjoy communicating and learning through cultural exchange.

I have always loved working with children, which is why the Au Pair experience feels like the perfect fit for me. I am excited to meet a warm and welcoming family with whom I can share my energy, enthusiasm, and care. I would love to learn about your family’s traditions, day-to-day life, and interests, while also sharing a bit of my own Italian culture with you.

Experience

I have extensive childcare experience, having worked as a babysitter for children aged 2 to 8 years old. My responsibilities included organizing fun and engaging activities, ensuring their safety, and supporting their daily routines. Additionally, I provided homework assistance to a 10-year-old, helping with various school subjects and fostering a positive learning environment. These experiences have helped me develop patience, creativity, and strong communication skills, making me well-prepared to support and care for children of different ages.

As an Au Pair, I would love to bring a piece of my Italian culture to my host family. I could share traditional Italian recipes, teach them a few words in Italian, or introduce them to Italian music and customs. I would also bring my enthusiasm, patience, and a positive attitude to create a warm and enjoyable environment for the children.

During my childhood, I also have hosted three au pair girls in my family's house: one from America, one from Ireland and the last one was from Germany. I was very close to them and I loved the experience.
