1. Who I Am:

My name is Callie. I come from a nurturing background, having been raised on a family farm where strong values of responsibility and community were a priority for me. My experiences in working with children as a lifeguard, babysitter, lots of little cousins and living with a family with 2 young kids and through various other roles have made me confident and made me eager to continue being around young kids.

2. Why I Want to Au Pair and Nanny:

I am passionate about working with children and view the role of an au pair and nanny as a way for me to continue something that I am excited about and love doing. This gives me a unique opportunity to see and learn new things well still doing something I love with childcare. By living with a host family, I hope this gives me the chance to become close with a family that is equally interested in bonding with their Au Pair. I hope that this experience will help me to grow as a person and learn new skills well I still get to show mine.

3. Why the Family Should Host Me:
I am someone that strongly expresses the care that I give for each and every child that I care for. The roles that I have had with children have taught me so many different things, including patience and gratitude. I hope to bring joy to the children I watch and time and energy back to the parents I assist. In am someone that is easy going and willing to try new things.

4. Why I Qualify for the Position:

I am well-qualified for the au pair and nanny position due to my hands-on experience with children, coming from my roles as a lifeguard and babysitter and other positions. These experiences have provided me with a practical understanding of child safety, development, and effective communication. My background also includes a strong foundation in responsibility and adaptability, essential qualities for managing diverse childcare situations. Moreover, my enthusiasm for travel and cultural exchange aligns perfectly with the goals of an au pair role, ensuring that I will bring both dedication and a fresh perspective to your family.

Experience

While I have not yet held a formal position as an au pair or nanny, I have had the experience of living with a family outside of my own, where I actively engaged with young children. This experience allowed me to gain a sense of adaptability and creativity in keeping the children engaged and ensuring a dynamic environment.

Having recently graduated from high school, I am currently taking a gap year to explore different parts of the world. I view this period as a valuable opportunity to broaden my horizons and immerse myself in new cultural experiences. Serving as an au pair or nanny will not only enable me to share my unique background and skills as a Canadian but also allow me to contribute positively to a host family’s life while gaining meaningful international experience.
