Letter to the family

Dear Host Family,

My name is Paulina, I’m 27 years old and I’m from Mexico. I’m so excited about the possibility of becoming part of your family as an Au Pair and Nanny.

Taking care of children has always brought me so much joy. I love how curious, creative, and honest they are, and I truly enjoy being someone they can feel safe and happy with. I’m a very patient and nurturing person, and I always do my best to create a calm, loving environment where kids can be themselves and feel supported.

One of the reasons I want to become an Au Pair is because I see it as a beautiful way to combine two things I’m passionate about: caring for children and discovering new cultures. I’ve always been drawn to art, music, and learning about the world, so I’m really looking forward to sharing my culture and also learning from yours.

I would be so grateful for the opportunity to live with and support your family. I take my responsibilities seriously, and you can count on me to be reliable, kind, and present in your children’s lives. I love doing creative activities—drawing, painting, storytelling—and I’d be happy to bring that into our daily routine.

Experience

I have experience working with children between the ages of 5 and 8, both girls and boys. My responsibilities have included helping them get ready for school, walking them there in the mornings, and taking them to their after-school activities. I’ve also supported them with homework and daily routines. We made time for fun too, playing together and going to the park were some of the activities they enjoyed most.

Being the oldest in my family, I’ve naturally taken on a caregiving role from a young age. Taking care of my younger brothers helped me develop important qualities like patience, responsibility, and a strong sense of organization. This experience has played a big part in shaping the way I work with children today.

I’m interested in becoming an Au Pair and Nanny abroad because I want to combine my love for working with children with the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture. I’m very curious about the world and I believe that living with a host family is a unique and meaningful way to experience life in another country. I also look forward to sharing my own culture and traditions while learning from yours.
