My name is Grace. I am a 20-year-old student currently pursuing a degree in Education at Monash University. I hope to specialise in Primary and Secondary education. I am writing to express my sincere interest in becoming an au pair with your family.
I've been passionate about teaching since I was just 5 years old, and I've always had a deep interest in experiencing the world beyond my home. Ever since discovering the Au Pair programme, I've been intrigued by the opportunity to combine these passions whilst learning even more about the world and life itself. Becoming an Au Pair represents the perfect chance to immerse myself in your daily life, traditions, and language whilst sharing aspects of my own life experiences with your family.
I would be an excellent addition to your household because I bring a genuine enthusiasm for teaching with a nurturing and connection-building approach. I prioritise creating a safe and supportive environment where children feel comfortable developing their skills and asking questions. I'm adaptable and organised, which I believe is essential when fitting seamlessly into already-established family routines whilst also bringing new energy and ideas to the household.
Whilst I am still working towards my degree, I am well-qualified for this position. I have over 2 years of working experience at a local high school, where I assisted children with significant learning difficulties and differences, as well as physical disabilities. Before that, I worked as an assistant coach at my circus school for 5-6 years, teaching children aged 5-12. My practical experience also includes babysitting for close family friends and house sitting for other families. As part of my job at the high school, I maintain current first-aid qualifications, can swim proficiently, and hold a valid driver's licence (P2 probationary until 13 July 2026, full licence after that) with a clean record. Beyond my childcare experience, I love to cook and can follow recipes proficiently, am happy to assist with light housekeeping, and am committed to being a responsible and trustworthy presence in your home.
