I have not yet been an Au Pair, but I have constantly babysat in my home country; for me it was a question of watching over children during the absence of the parents and this could sometimes be done for hours, days and weeks, this was during the period from 2022 to the end of April 2024 in Cameroon in the cities of Yaoundé and Douala. My job as a babysitter consisted of watching over the children during the night, sometimes there were two or three of them, once in the morning, I organized myself for the preparation of the children, namely the shower in the morning, breakfast, doing their things for school, taking them to school in the morning when they do not have a bus to school, going to pick them up after school, making them something to eat, checking their notebooks if there is any homework, giving them a bath after the meal and then accompanying them to extracurricular activities; once back they will rest for 3 or 4 hours then we do the revisions of the day's lessons then they have their dinner and then they have 1h 30min of entertainment by the end they go to bed.
