Dear family,
My name is Atalígia. I am 27 years old, and I am from Mossoró in the state of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil. My city is in the northeast of the country. It's a very beautiful place full of beaches and nature—everything I love!
I am the youngest of four siblings. I've always loved learning new things, and I've been very clever since I was little. I spent 18 months in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, doing volunteer work and helping people. It was a great experience because I developed my skills, met new people, learned new things, and became more self-sufficient. There, I left my comfort zone and did my daily activities on my own, such as preparing my meals and sometimes those of others, as well as caring for a home.
I'm currently a nursing technician and I work in the pediatric ward of the UPA (Emergency Care Unit). In my spare time, I sew with my mother. We make and adjust clothes, and I also knit bags to sell.
My maternal family has always been large. I have six younger cousins whom I've looked after and six older ones. On my father's side, I only have two older cousins, so I'm used to both large and small families.
