Letter to the family

Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Aurianna. I have worked with different families over the course of my life, with kids ranging from 7 months to 13 years. I absolute love watching them learn and grow as they explore the world around them. I want to become an Au Pair, because I have a deep love of travel and culture. Combining travel with a job I already love would be a dream come true. I am dedicated, passionate, patience and caring when it comes to working with kids. I hope to find a family that will be a true fit. I currently work for a sweet family with two children, ages 2 and 7. I qualify for the position, due to my vast years of experience working with kids. I am CPR certified, can cook, drive, and come up with unique activities for the children to do. I have many references from my time as a nanny/babysitter. I am excited for the opportunity to travel and submerge myself in a new culture while working a job I love.

Experience

I have years of babysitting and nannying experience. The ages ranging from 7 months to 12 years old. I have been working with kids since I was 13 years old. Out of all the jobs i have had, nannying has been my favorite. Being able to work for a family that truly cares about you is so fulfilling. For the past 2 years I had been working for a lovely military family with a 4 year old. At the time I started, she was barely talking and by the time they moved she was a spunky little girl with a lot to say. My new current family has two children, ages 2 and 7. The mother and father have the same shifts, so when I am needed I get the children ready for school and daycare. At night, I get them fed, ready for bed, and in some cases stay the night in the guest room until the next morning. Then I will get them up and ready for the day. I want to be an au pair because I have worked with families in America for so long. I can not see myself doing another job that I truly enjoy. Incorporating travel into a job I already love would be an incredible dream come true. Not only would I be working a job I love, I would be able to see a whole new culture as well. Being able to make connections is one of the most important things to me. When I work with my families, I feel apart of the family. Another motivation is wanting to live in Spain. Although it will be a whole new environment, I believe it will completely change my perspective on the world.
