Hey guys, my name is Miriam and I am 18 years old. This year I will finish school and would like to travel to another country and work there for 4-6 months. I think being an au pair gives you so many opportunities.

Experience

You learn / improve a new language, you learn about a different culture and most importantly, you gain so much experience when you go to a new country alone. I think an au pair job is perfect for me because I love children. I'm sure this job can be very hard and difficult, but by the end you may have found a second family and friends.I have been doing volunteer work with children for the past few years. For example, I am a volunteer in the Christian youth in Uttenreuth and I really enjoy working with the children or organizing a trip. I also did an internship on a circus project and it was so cool to train with the kids (some of them had disabilities) for a circus performance. To get even more involved in the work with children I also take part in a youth leader training.
