Hello!

My name is Emma and I am a 23 year old graduate student from New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. I have spent over 5 years of my life working in childcare; it is something that has always come very natural to me. Living abroad and teaching those around me is something I have always wanted to do. I am an outgoing and energetic person who loves being around kids and supporting their growth and development. I’m always up for an adventure and eager to create a positive environment for your children. I believe in building strong relationships based on trust, kindness, and lots of fun!

I am really looking forward to learning more about your family’s routine and culture, and I would love to contribute to your home by providing support and care for your little ones. I’m also excited to share my own experiences and passions with your family!

I have a Master's Degree in Economics and a Bachelor's Degree in Financial Analytics. My grandparents are native French speakers from Louisiana, and I studied French in school for 12 years. Though I have a very advanced education, living and learning internationally is a passion I have had for my whole life, and something I want to pursue while I am still young.

Experience

I have spent 5 summers working at a summer camp in Texas,USA, caring for children ages 5 - 18 for 3 months at a time. Duties of this job include but are not limited to: waking up the children, getting them ready for the day (dressing, bathing), feeding them all meals, facilitating engaging outdoor activities, entertaining them, getting them ready for bed. I served as a child well fair counselor, meaning that I had to make sure all of their emotional needs were being met while they were away from their parents for months a time. Essentially, I was their parent for the entire summer, and had to make. sure they were safe. I was a mandated reporter, so I was trained on recognizing irregular behavior and speech in these children that could indicate if something was not right at home, and could be in contact with legal authorities to help remedy their home situations. I am CPR and safe environment certified.

Apart from this, I am always the go-to person that friends and family call on to watch their children and animals when they go away for holiday, as they know I am reliable.
