Sibel (20 / Ms. ), German, Student - High School living in Germany looking for Au Pair job in USA for 12-12 Months

Dear Host Family,
In this letter I would like to give you a first impression of me and my life.

My name is Sibel an I am 18 years old.
I am living with my mother, my father, my sister and our dog in Norderstedt, which is not far away from the big city Hamburg, it is in the north of Germany.
At the moment, I am doing my high school diploma and I will graduate this year in July.
I would describe myself as open-minded, polite, helpful, creative, ambitious and patient.
In my spare time, I love to cook or bake.
I always find new recipes and I cook them for my family.
I enjoy being outdoors, being with my friends, going for walks, visiting places I have not been to and recently I discovered my love to Podcasts.
On a weekly basis I help my parents with all the things that have to be done in the Household.
In the course of getting my drivers license I also took part at a first aid course. I got my driver license in July 2022 and I drive every day. I have experience with gear shift as well as automatics. My mother works as a children’s nurse in a hospital and my father works at the company Philips. My younger sister is still going to school.
I also have a boyfriend for over 4 years now. As well as my family he supports me in my plans of going abroad as an Au pair.

I also went babysitting, I watched after five kids and two dogs, the youngest one was one and a half years old and the oldest one is 13 years old.
Being outside with them or just spending time with them inside is really exciting to me. I helped putting them to bed and making dinner for them.
I love to play some games with them. Whenever I see them we have a lot of fun together.
For over one and a half years, I am walking with a dog, called Chica, she is one of the two dogs of the family.
Sometimes the girl called Amira comes with me, she is seven years old and her dog called Bonny joins us.
I also did a practical training in a kindergarden. I worked there with five kindergarten teachers in a group of around 25 children from the ages 1-3.
We played a lot, inside as well as outside, we ate breakfast together and I helped them to dress when we were going outside.
I also worked in an adventure park for one and a half years.
I was responsible for children birthday parties and to give them the instructions.
I climbed with the children to support them and to make this a great birthday party for all of them. I especially learned how to calm them, if they were scared.
Unfortunately, the kindergarten and the adventure park is not allowed to give away any pictures of the children to outsiders, that’s why you cannot see them on the pictures.

Finally let me answer the essential question: Why do I want to become an AuPair?
I love spending time with children. I love to see them smiling, and their happiness when they learn something new.
Besides I would like to get to know the American way of life and different cultures.
