Letter to the family

My name is Ayotunde. I am writing to submit my interest to work as a Live-in carer at your organisation.
I am interested in this position because this provides me with the opportunity to use my interpersonal skills to help others. In my previous care work roles, I have further developed great communication, empathy and listening skills, which are necessary foundational skills for providing excellent health care.

Growing up with a mother who has worked all her life as a health care worker, I have learnt first-hand the basics of providing great health care. Hence, when my grandmother was critically sick with dementia and diabetes, I was able to provide the physical and mental support she needed during the eight months she lived with us.

I have also strengthened my ability to provide excellent mental health support by volunteering with health organisations such as Age UK, whose focus is on providing support services to the elderly in the UK and also with 7Cups, whose focus is to provide free mental support to as many that need it globally. These were both demanding roles, but my previous work and life experiences enabled me to effectively deliver great care to the members I was assigned.

Additionally, I belong to the Chevening Alumni, a close network of previous UK Government Chevening Scholarship Awardees and a global conglomerate of leaders and changemakers. My mantra as a leader is to be full of integrity and empathy, disciplined and vision oriented. This is who you would be hiring.

I believe your organization would be an excellent platform to add value and learn. I welcome the opportunity to further discuss my suitability for this role.
