Letter to the family

Hi! My name is Bella, and I am from California. I’m currently studying at the University of Richmond, where I study Communications and Art History. I’m interested in becoming a summer Au Pair because it offers a unique opportunity to experience a new culture while living abroad following my graduation. During my third year of college, I studied abroad in Italy on my own, and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I loved stepping outside of my comfort zone, learning a new language, and immersing myself in a different way of life. Since then, I’ve been eager to continue challenging myself by living in new environments, improving my language skills, and exploring diverse cultures. The flexibility of being an Au Pair also allows me to travel, meet new people, and form meaningful connections all around the world.

Experience

Although I haven't formally been an au pair, I have much experience working with children in various settings that have prepared me well for the role. I've been a nanny for two young children, where I was responsible for their daily care, playtime, and educational activities. I also have experience babysitting throughout college. Additionally, I have taught and tutored children, including those with learning disabilities, which has enhanced my ability to tailor my approach to meet individual needs. I also spent several years as a children’s swim instructor at my community pool, teaching kids of all ages during the summer. My strong communication skills, responsibility, and positive attitude make me confident that I can adapt quickly to an au pair role and provide a caring, supportive presence for your family!
